Minnesota's iron ore output rises

This was the third year in a row that iron ore production increased in Minnesota - but a softening is forecast for 2013.

From the story: "Pagel said almost all Minnesota producers are vertically integrated, supplying ore to their own operations." Ok, U.S. Steel does this but who else? Cliffs does not own blast furnaces and does not make it's own steel.

We have just two steel producers who made it to the world steel association's list of largest producers on the planet, while China has 14. Need I say more.
