The president should have stood behind her 100%. Republicans may see corporate profits as a higher value than protecting our air, water and open spaces, but no Democrat should. We must stop favoring coal and other fossil fuels or global warming will continue to get worse. The money subsidizing any polluting technology (especially coal and the Keystone pipeline for tarsands oil) should dry up to zero at once and all subsidies transferred to renewable sources and products.

Good riddance. There hasn't been a more anti-business, anti-freedom and anti-common sense leader of this run amok agency. Unfortunately, Obama will is likely to appoint a similar minded radical.

Lisa Jackson is being investigated by her own Inspector General's office for using a private email account with the alias "Richard Windsor" for offical business. The EPA has acknowledged Jackson uses the Windsor account but downplayed its significance, arguing extra accounts are necessary to deal with the sheer volume of emails they receive. In what universe does the EPA operate?

I say get rid of the EPA altogether so people like Bernice have a conniption. Honestly, complaining about coal and fossil fuels is ridiculous. What are we supposed to do? Look at all the money this administration has thrown away trying to develop solar energy and other alternatives. Until there is a viable replacement for coal and fossil fuels people need to just understand that is our only option. Rather than trying to get rid of fossil fuels why not develop the hell out of them until something different comes along so that prices drop.

Despite high hopes of sweeping action to address climate change (aka global warming until things weren't warming up as predicted, now they are just changing) her 4 year tenure ends not with a bang but with a whimper. She headed an agency whose budget increased by 34% to over $10.3 Billion. Half of the budget goes to fund environmental groups, nonprofits, and educational institutions (care to guess their political persuasion). How will she be remembered? Perhaps as the EPA administrator that although she provided over a large budget, tens of thousands of employees, and hot button issues that affect the economic well-being and health of US citizens she couldn't manage an e-mail inbox. You won't read this in the Star Tribune but she resigned just days after the Justice Department agreed to hand over 12,000 e-mails from Jackson's "Richard Windmark" e-mail account. Reportedly, Jackson used the account because her regular e-mail account was too busy.

This is just another example of the differences between our 2 extreme parties. Obama went all in on Green energy, the GOP is all in on traditional energy. The right solution would be a bit of both as green becomes more economically feasible. We need moderate leaders!
