Back to back to back anyone? Looks pretty likely to me...

At least for 2013 I do not see much if any improvement over the 2011-2012 records. While they added pitchers, the records of any of them do not show any of them to be top of the rotation guys...So far they also have not addressed the middle of the infield defense.

The way I see it, Terry Ryan has done nothing to improve the starting pitching. All he has done is taking the poor pitching we had the last two years and replace them with other poor pitching. I do not like Gardenhire's style of managing but Ryan could at least give Ron a chance to retain his job. There is plenty of money to go out and obtain a quality starting pitching. I do not understand Ryan, time to get rid of him.

tvet99: "The way I see it, Terry Ryan has done nothing to improve the starting pitching. All he has done is taking the poor pitching we had the last two years and replace them with other poor pitching." I agree that statement is true as far as Correia is concerned (not to mention the fact that he'll cost $9 million more over 2 years than any of the guys we ran out there last year after Marquis was released). However, Worley is a pretty good pitcher; certainly better than anyone the Twins threw last year outside of maybe Diamond. Pelfrey and Gibson should also be better than guys from the 2012 rotation. So there are improvements. But the up--the-middle defense is, er, suspect, and the team has not improved any other area. So are they good enough AS CURRENTLT CONSTITUTED to avoid losing 90 games? I doubt it. There is still a month left to do something, however.

middle defense has been bad and still is, but if you think Willingham and Plouffe are good defenders you might want to think about that a little bit more. Willingham brings a nice power bat but is pretty much like Delmon in LF, Plouffe is no better than Valencia was at 3b but you don't hear Gardy kicking him under the bus like he did Valencia, maybe due to Plouffe hitting 24hr? otherwise his defense wasnt very good either. So the Twins have good defenders in Morneau, Mauer, Carrol and possibly Mastroianni if he can show he belongs as a starter? That is very much a BIG issue with the starters the Twins plan on running out there
