Ponder does look good now.It's funny how fickle fans are but understandable that they want a win.I always felt Ponder had it in him since I watched him as a rookie.He has just needed time to develop consistecy.What I've seen the last three games is him steady and focused,and especially stepping up into the pocket,a crucial QB trait.By george,I think he's got it!

Now that you look back on the season you can understand why the Vikes beat the 9ers. Any team with a good running game and a good defense has beaten them this year. As for Houston I haven't believed their hype since the Packers took them apart at home. After the Pat's did the same I knew the Vikes could do it. The Vikes can beat the Packers too, but it will take Ponder to play his best game ever. Just as the Vikes are on a roll right now so is Green Bay and the Packers are getting back 4 or 5 starters they didn't have the last time they played. Also one thing one of the folks mentioned yesterday I never even thought about is Rodgers is no Favre. He doesn't throw the ball up for grabs and he plays better in a dome than on grass. So AP could still get 250 yards and the Vikes could still lose. This is the grow up game for Ponder either he proves he is the Vikes QB of the future or it is time to look someplace else.

The way Ponder was used last Sunday against the Texans was the best game planned for him all season. With the box loaded up to stop AP, and 1 on 1 coverage on our WR's, if Ponder doesn't see anyone open, without any hesitation run through the gap and gain some big yardage, especially on 3rd and short plays. This worked beautifully last week, we were able to keep the chains moving, but also gave the Texans defense another thing to worry about. Ponder has some good legs under him, so he needs to be used ala Griffin/Wilson style, with plays designed especially for him to run. With AP in our backfield, Ponder doesn't need to be Tom Brady back there, he just needs to do enough to keep the defenses honest, so we don't become a one dimensional running offense. I have no doubt we will win this Sunday if Musgrave, designs another great offensive plan like he did against Houston. Green Bay, wants nothing more than to knock us out this Sunday, they don't any part of us if we happen to play them in the playoffs!!!!!

Robb123 wants to anoint Ponder a success for his last three games, when the fact is he's had a QB rating of 73 over those games. That still places him as one of the worst QBRs in the league. I want a competent QB as much as the next guy but let's not jump for joy that we think we've found us an NFL caliber just because he doesn't single-handedly lose a game. He still doesn't have enough arm strength to make it in the NFL. Bottom line, there's a reason Harvin erupted over him during the Seattle game. He gets to see the incompetence all week, we only get to see it on Sundays.

i think the packers should rest mr. roger for this game. so he will be nice and rested for the playoff.
