NEW YORK - Retailers are pulling stocks lower on Wall Street following disappointing news about the holiday shopping season.

The media and the retailers are blaming Sandy and the fiscal cliff give me a break. People are broke and it's only going to get worse but i thought everything was ok ? I just lost my job due to Obama care they outsourced 90 % of the dept here comes the 2nd great depression enjoy it folks.

Bet our politicians and their supporters (and cash cows) didn't have any less under their tree. Why would our congress want to get anything done? Their wealth and the wealth of their friends doesn't change. Or I suppose maybe a Lexus with a couple less options under tree is tolerable for the Mrs. or Mr..

C-man2500 hit it right on the nails. Was I suprised that despite all of the yapping from the AP people that we were going to spend forever and now, guess what?, the spending has come to a halt since Black Friday! It is clear that average people are out of money. Without money, then there is no effective demand, is there? I can watch a new beautiful car all day long, but in the end I just have to go home because I cannot buy it. And most of our young people have very low paid jobs compared to what we use to have. Even one of the biggest liberal shows today had to admit that spending is in a tank and there appears to be no way to keep up the spending. Here is one truth that you can count on.
