Starbucks is one of those companies that figured out how to take a low cost item, jack up the price 10 times, and then get people to buy it. Someone willing to pay $5 for a 50¢ cup of coffee is probably not going to be the type of person who will think they are too terribly inconvenienced with having to pay a few extra dollars each week in taxes. They are probably to type of person who would enjoy taking a ride off the cliff just for the thrill of the experience.
I see little to criticize here. It's a nonpartisan message, and it affirms what most Americans want.
