Wow. We truly live in a nation of cry babies. It's links to web sights. I suppose the left say those links lead to killing right? This is a sad sad country right now.

The video game industry gets huge taxpayer subsidies. Just sayin'.

Thankfully, the public isn't really buying into this media-driven nonsense about video games being too controversial and to blame for the CT shootings. These stories just aren't picking up any real steam, which means they will soon stop taking up space on sites like this.

Has it been proven that Adam Lanza played violent video games??? If he didn't, then there is no link (in his case) between playing them and causing him to do the shooting. perhaps, they should be looking into other possibilities (drugs, psychotropic med's, what web sites he was visiting (was he visiting sites that encouraged this incident), heck, even satan worship... I will admit that I don't like violent video games and I "DON'T" allow my children to play them; with that said, I respect the right of Americans to bear arms (if they choose).

I realize I may just not 'get it', but can a gamer tell me exactly WHY you like to play these first-person games that have killling as the objective. Help those of us that don't understand by offering some perspective. Is it truly just "because I can" and "my entertainment". In my own mind, I just can't even make the leap from playing a sport/race game to playing a game where I kill. My value system must get in the way at some point.

But let's keep putting in touch screen TV's in our cars while we are driving 60+ MPH. Video games have been voilent since the day they created them. No one ever said a thing about "WILD GUNMAN" stand up video game... HA! If you even remember that game youngsters... CRACK SHOT! It's not the games.. it's the upbringing...

Games are not the problem. People do not become killers because of specific stimulation, however, they may seek out stimulation to feed their sociopathic tendacies. Just as porn doesn't make rapists even though rapists may watch it. A nut with a gun can do a lot of damage (a lot more than other packaged weapons) and that should be the discussion.

The are people who say violent films and video games had no bearing on the Sandy Hook shootings, yet believe a video caused Benghazi. If what one sees on TV and in movies has no affect on us why do smart businessmen pay mountains of dollars to advertise their goods and services on TV and at the movies? Why does the government itself buy advertising? As a gun owner, gamer and a person that enjoys action flicks, I have to admit commercials and reviews peaked my interest into buying but I've never had the inclination to do anything evil because of my hobbies. A mentally unstable person like the shooter in CT....maybe. In a tweet this weekend, Obama aide David Axelrod wrote, "In NFL post-game: an ad for shoot ‘em up video game. All for curbing weapons of war. But shouldn't we also quit marketing murder as a game?” It looks like all these things are now on the politicians plate in the wake of this tragedy.
