Another post about Kevin: from Dan Hanson (thanks for sharing Dan!)'My "Happy Kevin Moment" was during the Northside 5k. I had just had surgery and was walking it with Amanda Furth. There was a gentleman who was trying to run, but was really having a lot of troubles, so we stayed back to make sure he finished ahead of someone. He passed by Camden Mart and Kevin ran him in to the finish line. It was really neat to see.'

This guy keeps his sidewalks cleared of garbage, he doesn't let guys hover around the front door like other stores, and he goes up and down the block cleaning up the street. His store is clean and well organized, he's got fresh produce and a wide variety of groceries and other sundries. The staff are very personable with their customers. He's a great addition to the community!

We live in Brooklyn Center but I might have to make a trip over there. This is the type of store and store owner I like to support. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for a great column, Ms. Rosenblum. It's heart-warming to read about Mr. Aldwalk, his store, and his concern for his community. Let us all wish him success in his endeavors and a deepening of his roots in Camden. I used to drive by that corner on my way to North United Methodist; am now resolved to come by again. Happy new year to all.
