Well HO HO HO, Merry Christmas. The sentence, "few people polled expressed any support for any specific spending cuts" kind of says it all. Spending cuts and tax/revenue increases are the only way to fix our fiscal problems. Eventually there will be a deal. What remains to be seen is how many Americans and business' will be harmed before it happens. This was a pretty good summary of what will happen if we go over the cliff. It won't be pretty. The polls have consistently said a solid majority favor raising taxes on those over $250K income, so the author somehow found a poll that says "about half." Nevertheless, that will have to be part of the solution or no deal.
