As the commander in chief, I would have preferred Obama take care of business before jetting off to Hawaii for 17 days. There are some very major issues that need to be addressed, and those issues will affect every single American. I suspect he wants the additional tax revenue across the board despite what some blind followers chose to believe. Either way, we all get what YOU people asked for. No whining. This is forward!

He will go down as the president that finally took the "Worst president of all time" title from Carter

Already ranked by historians as being in the top ten presidents after only one term, Obama is destined to be ranked among this group for his steady command in leading the US in overcoming the second worst economic downturn in our history. Even the GOP's total focus on making Obama "a one-term president" did not deter him. The economic recovery, ending two wars, the ACA, keeping terrorists at bay, killing bin Laden, ending DADT, the START treaty, Wall Street reform, record corporate profits, a scandal-free (so far) administration, all are huge accomplishments despite unending minority opposition. The American electorate should be proud of themselves that they didn't succumb to the FOX/Hannity/Limbaugh-led GOP misinformation machine.

idigbroads: "He will go down as the president that finally took the "Worst president of all time" title from Carter..." Couldn't take it from Carter. G. W. Bush was far worse than Carter and George H. W. was almost as bad as George W. The republicans haven't had a decent President since Eisenhower.

Listen up folks...obama cares for one thing and one thing only: His legacy as the president. He does not give a rip about the poor or the middle class. He does not care about the struggle that every family of every color/creed goes through trying to afford housing, food, heat, or transportaion. He doesn't have any regard for anyone except his own personal wealth and that of his friends and family. He has no other dog in this fight except his legacy, because, no matter how the "fiscal cliff" falls, no matter who "wins" or "loses" he will still be rich for the rest of his life living off his presidential retirement and benefits as well as speaking fees, book earnings, gifts, etc. It's time to fight for what's best for the rest of the country and that includes the small businesses, the rich, the poor, the middle class, et. al. and tell this empty suit to take his taxing and spending, his gigantic ego, smug personality, his "I know what's best for you" attitude to hit the road.

Obama should have set an example and stuck it out in Washington until a deal is reached on the economy, but golf was too important. At least he could probably become a pro golfer with all the experience he's getting at taxpayers expense during his Presidency.
