His streak of 100-yard games ended, but Christian Ponder found other outlets, and backup Toby Gerhart finished up with a TD.

What's ultimately going to cost AP the record is Musgrave having given him only 15 touches against Tampa and a mere 17 touches against both Tennessee and the Redskins. They really need to rethink their offensive coordinator in the offseason.

They kept pinching AP to the sidelines, so he could not make big open field cuts in the middle of the field. Good defensive strategy, hopefully no one else has the speed Houston does, or AP will see his yardage decline. He had several big bursts, they all ended up on sidelines where his options were limited.

The Texans were gassed at the end of the game watts was visibly sucking wind. Credit Peterson and the offensives line. Not a hundred yards but they won the game.

At the end of the day, its all about the 'W'. Anybody think the Vikings last game would put them into the playoffs? I thought 7-9, maybe 8-8, due to a soft schedule. And I'm a homer that was being optimistic. They could lose and still make the playoffs Sunday. A SB run is highly doubtful, but I'm stamping this season a success already. Oh ya, btw, their only decent wide receiver hasn't played in weeks.

Is my math wrong? Are the inept Vikings with an inept QB and inept defense and inept offensive coordinator and inept head coach and inept general manager really 9-6, and have outscored their opponent 342-272 after going 3-13 last year? Hmmmm....maybe some should reevaluate the definition of inept. Or should we still just fire everybody in the offseason?
