Chris- I'm genuinely surprised that I'm the first to comment on your honest, straightforward article on Leah's passing. True, Leah herself would want everyone to get out and see some live music tonight rather than comment on an article about her, but you managed to capture the importance of this horrific loss with dignity and grace, and I felt moved to thank you for doing such a great job in summing up what must have been a story so big you surely had a hard time keeping it at the length your editor required. The dozens and dozens of posts on Facebook are a testament to Leah's (and her husband Rob's) massive impact on people from Germany to the corner of University and Snelling, but you've managed to bring this story to the entire world and for that I and everyone who knew her are eternally grateful. Kudos to you for caring enough to put your all into a piece that must surely have been a real challenge to pen. This is the type of thing that keeps you at the forefront of local writers who genuinely care about what they share with their readership, especially in the arts/entertainment area. Again, thank you so much. Have a great Holiday season and keep up the great work. Best, Tom Hallett, St. Paul
