Dont some of these journalists bear some responsibility for traveling to these hotbeds of violence and political unrest? I hope they come home safe but with the spate of recent journalist abductions youd think they( and their employers) would care more about their safety.

Of course journalists and their employers care about their safety. Our military cares about the safety of our soldiers, but that hasn't stopped many of them from being taken prisoner, either. These journalists are risking their lives and their safety to enlighten and educate the world on issues that should matter to all of us. Rather than criticize their sacrifice, we should honor it.

The Tice family will be in my thoughts this holiday. I hope their loved one is returned to them soon. =(
