He used his school-provided phone to take four pictures of his kids. Misuse of school property by the head of the football program is a serious offense. I know if Tubby Smith takes a paper cup home and uses it personally, he probably gets a month suspension... Lord knows what happens if he had taken a paper clip.... OK, OK.. so if he hadn't used the company phone, they wouldn't have been involved, and the lawyers on staff would have had to find another way to justify their existence, probably by writing more ways to protect the school from...... lawyers.

Just another way for overpaid administrators to justify their existence. Clearly, by escalating the discipline without justification, the university is attempting to sever its relationship with Hoffner. I hope he is able to win a significant judgement against the school, but unfortunately that cost would just be passed along to us through higher tuition and taxes. Nobody wins.
