The first major snowstorm of the season? So what was that thing that blew through here on Dec. 9? 10-16 inches doesn't constitute a major storm?
How could this have happened 60 miles north of Des Moines on I-80? I-80 runs East and West.

This is the first major snowstorm to hit the 'Midwest'. MN in not considered to be 'Midwest' Were are 'Upper Midwest"
I was going to say the exact same thing that "varsityonlin" said! Shoveling and plowing my driveway four times on December 9th must've been a dream, er, a nightmare then!
Semi drivers please slow down. Experienced the most terrifying drive of my life just north of Indianapolis headed towards Silver Bay before Thanksgiving. Very heavy fog, and construction zones with shifting lanes, and the semi drivers were being extremely aggressive. I thought my wife and two children and I were going to end up road kill.
Using a metal shovel to clean off your car?!?! Yikes! There'll be coal in YOUR Christmas stocking for that boneheaded move.
"How could this have happened 60 miles north of Des Moines on I-80? I-80 runs East and West.".... <~~~~ The article never mentions I-80, it mentions I-35.
Clearing off your car with a shovel... "that'll leave a mark".
shaun102578 - they revised the article to correct the error.
Bad move with the shovel dude.
