Toby Gerhart was a waste. He is slow and can't break any tackles. Should have tried him at full back

Very few if any of the players who will be free agents after the 2013 season are all that great. For this team they may be great, but not great for other teams. The talent pool is so poor for the Vikings that it cannot get any worse. Perhaps the Vikings are intentionally cutting their payroll since they know a major portion of their fan base will be lost after they charge SBL fees for the new stadium. The future is very bleak, very dark for the Vikings.

If Joe Webb leaves, who is going to hold the clipboard?

If the free agents are going to cost too much or want to leave (Harvin) pull a Patriots and move them for picks. Get something.

Jared Allen will be no big loss, performance is dropping and 2 years from now he will be a backup. Harvin is a priority. I agree with another post that suggests trade anything with value if they are not signed this offseason.

I said it last year after game 12 and I'll say 8t again. Adrian Peterson has never had so much value to this organization as he does right now. Trade him, and the team gets to solve problems at 5 positions. Keep him, and this team continues to struggle and plays second fiddle to the Packers for years to come. When the Seattle Mariners found themselves with Randy Johnson, A-Rod and Ken Griffey Jr and still losing, what did they do? That's right, they traded them and made it to the World Series the next year. This is a team game and in spite of how great AD is (he is one of the top 5 RB's in NFL History), either get some help at receiver so we can have diversity on offense or trade him now. Either way, the team gets better.

Another big question the Vikes need to answer is whether Christian Ponder can improve to reach his potential or whether he festers without any receivers who can break free of the Tillman and Woodson's of the world. I believe he has the skills, but we need a QB coach like Bevill who knows the intimate nuances of being a QB in the NFL. I don't think we have that coach today. Look at Alex Smith before Harbaugh's arrival and after his arrival and the winning %. Great coaches know how to design plays that fit a QB's strengths instead of harping on the QB to go fix their weaknesses. Go get a QB coach with some effing experience and a track record of having milked every ounce of potential out of a relatively young QB.

Mike Grant needs some experience at the college level as an assistant of some sort including recruiting before becoming a head coach.
