I played as a kid, coached my children and was a youth referee for ten years. I will not go back to the NHL for quite a while after this. Ridiculous.

Fehr's act is getting old. He is ready to meet but won't budge an inch. Does he want for them to just stare at each other?

This thing is getting laughably bad. The NHLPA is ready to meet. Great! The NHL has stated pretty strongly that if their 3 main demands are not met, there's no need to meet. I know they're playing hard ball, but if that's what it takes, then so be it. If Fehr/NHLPA isn't willing to accept those demands, why meet? To play Stratego? Swap stories? What a joke!

Bla Bla you will ALL come back. The owners know it. The players know it. Everybody said it 8 years ago.....What happened? Revenue and attendance went up. All the fans said it in 94 with the baseball strike. Same thing happened. They all came back. Yes, I am mad that the lockout should have been set settled about a month ago. But, I am not going to lie to you. The next time the Wild play a real game. I will be watching.

Rule 1. Never believe Fehr. He wants to make his clients look good. But he gets in the room and just keeps saying no. He is the reason you will not be seeing NHL hockey this year. And you can believe that.

jabuyer...that's garbage ! The owners are the ones who are dictating here !! Fehr was brought in to deal with Gary(3x lockout) Bettman as the players were taken to the woodshed in the last lockout and the owners want to take away the contracting rights that the players gave up big concessions to get last time around plus reneg on current contracts that the owners just signed as late as this past summer. The owners have not truly addressed revenue sharing which is the number one issue here and/or player safety which should be no less that 2nd on the list and maybe first. Concussions from late and illegal hits are rampant and the Shanny system is token at best. Replay the PMB hit from behind last year and tell me the owners have a handle on player safety.....as in joke. Fehr also put baseball on a smooth track after he was done as the owners finally figured out that they needed to treat the players as partners instead of adversaries. Bettman has treated the players like adversaries along with some of the owners who have been controlling the negotiations(dictating). Fehr has continually tried to offer up a partnership type of arrangement by trying to work together in order to get the game back on the ice this year and for smooth sailing moving forward, as in NO MORE LOCKOUTS !! Fehr is the guy to get this done and put the game on the right path moving forward and has been transparent in the process all along. What the owners have done here, concerning revenue sharing(nearly nothing), player safety(token effort) and unethical behavior(renegging on contracts and bullying) is way out of line and you can't tell me you wouldn't be upset if you were trying to negotiate with managemant/ownership and they were asking you to make major concessions because they can not get there act together !!!
