Nick most certainly did not "lose". All three finalists were outstanding. Only one could wear the crown.

I hate the title of the article. You didn't lose the voice Nicholas you made it to the top three and came in third. Personally I think you or Terry should have won as Cassadee's voice seems a little thin and reedy to me. You're a class act, Nicholas, well done and welcome home.

Yes, someone else won the contest. Like in any head-to-head competition, someone wins and someone "loses." I enjoy the show and side with the judges. This is one snapshot in the contestants' careers. Each of them will find their own level of success. Just my opinion, our society puts too much emphasis on winners and losers. Best wishes to Nick!

Having seen and heard these talented folks and the final standing... I have to say the show is not correctly named, for Nick IS The Voice. The winner, and runner up, both passable singers, don't have that something special which would tempt me to buy a ticket for their show or a record... But Nick does. His voice is head and shoulders above the rest. I think we will be hearing Nick for decades to come, but the others will fade rapidly.

Not sure anyone really LOST! Maybe it was win, place and show? The Voice isn't programming I usually watch. I was really 'turned on' and got hooked in large part by Nicholas' performances. But really if anyone WON it was fans who followed this program until the end. Finally, it didn't seem Nicholas 'breezed' through anything. I believe only one judge took him on his initial performance and wasn't he the last one chosen in the 'semi final' week over Trevon'? Also, I don't believe Nicholas actually had the final say on what he was to perform on Monday night. So he didn't really eschew his genre' - it was done for him. Nicholas you may not be 'The Voice' but you are the MAN!

I believe that if Nick had performed 'You Are So Beautiful' on Monday night he could have won it all. That performance was so moving. He peaked a little early. Then again, maybe that performance is what got him to the final three. Either way, the guy is a class act.

Congratulations Nick! You won 3rd place and you are a class act. I will pay to see you preform and I will buy your music. You are original, have great priorities and just a great, fun guy.

Nick is not only a singer, he is a performer. The judges were always impressed with his performance. His career in music will soar. Not only in recorded music, but also to tour. Cassadee - until she records an original song that goes to number one - is so similar to so many other singers in this genre. She has a lot of competition before she can become a easily recognized voice/star.

You are the winner in my book. Your voice is the most distinctive and original with so much soul. I loved every minute of all your performances.

Cassadee seemed to have the whole package, stage presence, nice range, but not the souldfulness of Nick. Terry was just hard to watch for me, but I would listen to him. They were all winners and will have recording contracts.
