Way to have your priorities straight Anoka county. You value your guns more than your own children. Seems best if those permits take an extended period of time to be granted it would be a good thing. Our legislators need to tax these weapons out of existence, just as what was done with cigarettes.

Anoka County has probably had an up-tick in the sale of bibles, too.

typical. Right wing press lies about the intent of the left, stokes fear and gun sales rise. Left sits and wants bans, right wants more guns, neither has any real ideas. Here is a simple one, pass an act- the NEwtown Schools safety act and mandate police coverage at schools during hours, fund it with taxes on ammo and sporting guns and use the money to put an expert in dealing with such incidents, a cop in every school. A solution that is provided for by the enthusiasts, who put up some money where their mouth is. And security is given without any fights over "rights"

I'm sorry, NONE of the 'rifles' shown in the photos should be available to the general public. Handguns, sure. These are assault weapons. They should be banned, period.

"The NRA has turned the 2nd amendment into a cruel and deadly hoax. " BM Nearly 30,000 people are killed from guns yearly and 100,000 are injured. Almost $100 Billion is spent on damage done from guns per year. What is that in one generation? Talk about a fiscal cliff!

I see one of those survivalist reality shows on the horizon for Anoka County. Maybe it can fill the hole Jersey Shore will leave.

This is comically stupid. The fear mongering is actually prodding the stupid to believe anything the NRA says even more. There won't be jack done. The cats out of the bag on guns. Mental health care and more responsible human beings are the only thing that can thwart these situations. Our culture is screwed if this is any indicator of the intelligence of the general public.
