If Obama knows - and he does know - that taxing incomes >$250K, >$400K and >$1 million do NOTHING to solve the deficit, why does he persist? Answer: Crippling America through class warfare strengthens the Dems long-term political ambitions. Sick, but undeniably true.

History will show that America became a true welfare state shortly after the creation of the Federal Reserve Bank and the income tax in the early 1900's. After slow decline during next ninety years, the country quickly descended into a complete welfare state, as republicans and democrats teamed up to confiscate and destroy wealth at an amazing rate.

The Campaign to Fix the Debt is a Pete Peterson operation of fellow 1%ers that want to do away with Social Security and Medicare. Or at least "privatize" it.

They are not a friend of the average American.

I say go for it. Take the dive off the cliff. No more handouts. Things will work out on their own in six months.

There is no sense in trying to cut a deal with the obama and his supporters. They are all about spending at all costs. Until cuts to spending (not proposed spending) outweigh tax increases by a 3 or 4 to 1 margin, the debt will continue to rise. Unless you're OK with sticking your kids, grandkids, and great grandkids with the ever rising deficit, something has to happen NOW...not 10 years down the road like the dems seem eager to do. I know that those of you that disagree with this and will be happy to push this ever-raising debt on to your offspring will give me a thumbs down...but, fear not, it is expected from the entitlement-mindset group.
