"Some Libyan militiamen did respond during the attack, the officials said, but not in numbers sufficient or with enough organization to repel the mob." Wow the AP continues to carry on the lie that there was a mob and not a terrorist attack. Lies, lies and more lies in this whole Benghazi event.....

"no officials breached duty" ... So there was no way of avoiding the deaths of these four Americans ?? ... HOW did this administration not see this attack coming ?? ... If no "individual" is responsible, then the leaders of those individuals need to be brought to justice for what was a blatant failure of duty to protect these people under their responsiblity.

Among recommendations being implemented, "....increasing hiring and deployment of highly trained Diplomatic Security agents..." Homeland Security has sucked $1.2 trillion from our treasury the past 10 years, and now we will be spending more and adding government employees around the world. Gotta keep our people safe. Or, at home.

Obvious... did you ask the same question regarding 9/11?

I don't think this was a security issue. I suspect it was a mental health issue.

"It did confirm, though, that contrary to initial accounts, there was no protest outside the consulate. It said responsibility for the incident rested entirely with the terrorists who attacked the mission."

Rice said a small protest was hijacked by a heavily armed extremists who killed the Americans. Apparently, this protest never occurred, a protest Rice never blamed for the attack.

Benghazi is a "scandal" invented by the MSM.

Have we heard from the survivors of Benghazi yet? There is something very strange about this whole story. Secretary Clinton is doing everything she can to distance herself from it. Susan Rice pulled out because she didn't want the covers pulled back on this operation. There is something very odd going on here.

Another useless government investigation/report. No names named. No responsibility assigned. I think it raised more questions than it answered. Hillary Clinton is the Secretary of State. Why is she not blamed for any of this. There were numerous failures and a number of significant warnings. Something should have been done to prevent this foreseeable tragedy. To assert she knew nothing about this is, and I quote Ms. Clinton, "...to suspend the idea of disbelief." Face it: they (and the media) are protecting her for her presidential run. Plain and simple. What a shame that 4 American lives were sacrificed for her legacy. Where is the media challenging this and asking questions? Imagine if this occurred in a Republican administration.

Truckman182 : "Wow the AP continues to carry on the lie that there was a mob and not a terrorist attack. Lies, lies and more lies in this whole Benghazi event....."

Wow is right. The media has been claiming Rice blamed the attack on a protest gone bad. That is the lie. In Rice's own words:

"We believe that folks in Benghazi, a small number of people, came to the embassy to - the consulate rather - replicate the sort of challenge that was posed in Cairo. And then, as that unfolded, it seems to have been hijacked, let us say, by some individual clusters of extremists who came with heavier weapons, weapons that, as you know, in the wake of the revolution in Libya, are quite common and accessible. And it then evolved from there."

So naturally, after reading this quote, the bright minds of today's journalist concluded Rice blamed the protest for the attack. The lies, lies, and more lies are coming from our "press".
