Stocks climb on confidence that a budget deal between White House and Congress is close

NEW YORK - Stocks climbed on Wall Street Tuesday, pushing the Standard and Poor's 500 to its highest level in two months, on optimism that lawmakers are closing in on a budget deal that will stop the U.S. from going over the "fiscal cliff" at the beginning of next year.

Sorry, AP writers, but you were a bit late with this article. Today, the DOW is sliding down. And that was what I was expecting. As soon as no deal is done, just wait and see how far down the stocks will go. Into dark land? I do not expect a "Grand Deal", boy, forget about that one. The President is not going to go any further and neither will the House speaking. They are in the grip of an iron stop. Very few people deal with stocks anymore and I sure do not. I stay away from stocks and look at the volume-about none. Buckle up and watch the show.
