The Vikings avoided turnovers in St. Louis and won. But now they face a Houston team that feasts on takeaways.

Ponder just has to play not to lose and let AP carry the team on his back. For better or worse that has to be the recipe for success for the next two games, and hopefully into the post season.

The Vikings can do this. They are surging on all three fronts and can win out and into the playoffs. They believe and so do I.They look like they're in their week 3 form and that makes them practicaly invincible. With Ap and Ponder getting back in stride it's all right in front of them.Yeah Vikings!

To me the only hope is to get some effective play action going early and take an unexpected shot downfield. Maybe Roudolph will get some work underneath. Something, anything to losen up that Texan defense to get Peterson some help. Otherwise it could be a long day.

I get the feeling JJ Swatt is going to have a key 3rd down play because Ponder can't see over the line.

Most important stat won't be how many receptions Viking's receivers have but how many their defensive backs have.

NO IFS OR BUTS ABOUT ABOUT IT!!! Ponder will have to carry his weight in this game coming up against Houston. We were able to beat the Rams just on AP's legs, but in this game we could possibly see him run for over 200+ yards and we still lose the game. It's time for Ponder to make a statement and play the best game of the season, we're going to need a good balance of PASSING and running to beat Houston at home. We have real bonafide chance at making the playoffs this year, but we have to jump this enormous obstacle to do it. NO MORE EXCUSES PONDER, it's time for you to earn your pay!!!!! With the being said, if Ponder starts stinking up the place as we've seen too many times this year, Frazier needs to think of the team and put in Webb at least for this game to give us every chance to win. Too much is riding on this game, we can't afford inefficiency by Ponder in this very much important game coming up!!!

If Ponder keeps up with his tremendous footwork, the Vikes are unbeatable! :)

Hahaha, imgahn2u, good one. :) Let's face it, having Ponder at QB in Houston is like bringing a cap gun to a duel; it'll be a miracle if we win this game. If we can just hang in there for the first half, not get down by more than a touchdown, perhaps Peterson can start to wear them down in the second half.

Victory is simple. Just follow the Packers formula - they went to Houston, dominated the Texans for 4 quarters and won easy.

Personally, I dont thinker Ponder can be an effective NFL quarterback. I dont think he has any vision in the pocket. I literally dont think he can see between or over the lineman in front of him. Thats a problem. But if there is a time to prove himself it's now. Otherwise the Vikings must go in a different direction next year.
