This vikings making the playoffs nonsense will come to an end this coming Sunday after they are defeated on the road (again) by the Rams and again on the road the next week in Houston. This club has only been able to beat the hapless Lions on the road this season and given that they have yet to win two games on the road in over three years any playoff talk is not only an insult it is a short-cut to thinking as well.

Jarde Allen may only have nine sacks-way down from his great season a year ago. But his been battling a shoulder injury most of the season. An injury, I might add, that Jared Allen has never complained about, or used as an excuse. Jared Allen is awesome! Skol Vikings!!!

This current vikings squad is not a playoff caliber team and we all know it. Their cream puff schedule at the beginning of the season (Jax, Tenn, Detroit AZ, Det a second time) allowed them easy wins but when they had a chance to prove their worth they couldn't stand up to the competition (Wash, TB, GB, Seattle and Chi)especially on the road. Besides, how in the world can a team that has a starting QB that struggles to throw even 100 yards during the course of an NFL game possibly be a threat to beat any playoff caliber club let alone beat a team on the road (other than the loser Lions) which is what the vikings have to do from here on out if they want to finish the season with a winning record. To even mention that this team is in the playoff hunt is a joke at best!!!

The Vikings are on the verge of being Super Bowl contenders, the new outdoor stadium is on the way!! That is the missing piece, just ask close and personal friends. Take a moment and look at what Target Field has done for the Twins, and TCF Stadium for the Gophers! The new facilities lead to championships. Just have patience, it will work out, either that, or they will keep rebuilding..year after year after year..( see Twins)

Jerry Allen is like a modern day Cris Carter. Always discribed as a "team leader" (usually by himself). Never there for the big games but always available for a quote (or an excuse).

I recall the Vikes making the playoffs in the eighties by getting tonked 44-3 by the Jets, so what does it mean really? Do we want to see the Vikes in a playoff game with a QB averaging 95 yards a game passing or whatever it is?

Good ol Sid The Tool..The Master Of The Obvious! Playoffs, playoffs, we talkin the playoffs? There is no chance the Vikes make the playoffs. The fans knew this in August. Bradshaw and his boys just called Ponder the worst QB in the league. They said they didn't even like him in college. Then they laughed.Spielman's panic pick in the draft is embarassing Minnesota fans weekly. Hey Ziggy! Get a real GM.
