With the temps low enough for the snow to melt by the end of the weekend, I questions the use of extra funds to plow the puddles of water

Maybe a bit late. I've lived in MN for almost 50 years and started working in downtown St. Paul a year ago and was totally amazed at what a terrible job the city did in the downtown loop. Sure it was a weird snowfall and abnormal temps but it began on Saturday night and you would think at worst they would want their centerpiece of commerce taken care for business on Monday AM - Mpls seemed to be able to handle it with no problem. I am writing this but listened to many, many work colleagues discussing it as well. Maybe I will reconsider living in the downtown area after all.

so, should we consider this extra tow-away as an early christmas preasent to each of us in St. Paul of over $200? Gee, that's nice, over, copy!

It appears St Paul is not towing cars for this plowing project. It is voluntary, but you shouldn't complain about plowing if you don't move your car. Minneapolis didn't do any better than St Paul on plowing their downtown. (25+ minutes to get across downtown Tuesday evening. 50+ minutes to get onto 394.)

Because of the lack of action by the city, citizens will once again be held accountable for governments faliure. Get your check books ready.

Have lived in St. Paul for the last 12 years and am befuddled again by plowing of puddles...instead of at least attacting it a week ago today while it was snowing!

Another St. Paul plowing fiasco. Only a week late. Why weren't they out plowing before last Monday morning's white-knuckle morning drive??
