More hours don't necessarily mean more sales. People are no longer willing to go into debt to satisfy the desires of the retailers. Until incomes start to rise, don't expect retail sales to rise.
I have been in the malls 3 times this holiday season, i didnt see that many people, i got a feeling this could be a bad Holiday retail season. There is just too much economic and tax uncertainty.
