This article mentioned the reason Sam Bradford was kept as the Rams starting quarterback instead of drafting RG3. The Rams decision makers believed that Bradford did not have the wide receivers or the protection from his offensive line to give him a chance to be successful in 2011. I really believe that Christian Ponder is viewed by the Viking's decision makers the same way as Bradford was viewed and the Vikings will try to improve their passing game by focusing on getting better pass blocking and getting better wide receivers in the off season. If you think you're frustrated with Ponder now try and imagine how upset you're going to be when Ponder is screwing up next season. I don't think that Vikings management has any intention of replacing Ponder in the off season.

If they don't replace Ponder, Management will be replaced next.

I hate to see the Vikes relying on a QB with "happy feet". However, everyone thought Culpepper was pretty good until he didn't have Randy Moss to throw to. So, with enough help, Ponder could prove to be adequate. We'll probably never know what a good QB could do with the present personnel. It's kind of like Jerry Clower's story when he says "Just shoot up here amongst us. Somebody has got to get some relief". Vikings Fans, pull your neck in, tuck your head into your shell, and hang on. The situation has got to get better.

Shoulda, coulda - lost that game to the Redskins last year. That win on the road will go down as one of the biggest blunders EVER in the history of the NFL. Even ahead of one the greatest of all time: The Herschel Walker trade. Super Bowl this year with Ponder out and RGIII in. Now we can only dream as this cursed franchise trys to find a franchise QB - again, and again, and again.
