Rookie safety Harrison Smith has helped return some swagger to the Vikings' last line of defense with his good hands and big hits.

No wonder this viking's defense is such a joke and has gotten beaten by three rookie QBs this season. Nothing was funnier than watching Harrison Smith fall flat on his face trying to catch RGIII enroute to his 76 yard TD run and blowout victory over the vikings.

I guess we will see what Harrison is really made of down the stretch with two teams out of three remaining that are going to win their Divisions (Packers and Texans). Thus far he has shown, like the rest of this team, that they are unable to beat any team, no matter their record (other than the Lions) on the road. What is even worse is that this vikings defensive squad has been beaten by three rookie QBs this season which is a testament to how bad they really are outside the confines of the HumptyDome. Harrison has shown nothing more than how easy it is for a player to stand out on this club that is completely void of any real talent in the defensive backfield.

One can only hope Smith will be a fixture at safety for the Vikings for many years to come. Asd smart as he plays now, imagine how good he will be when he physically matures, packs on a few more pounds and gains more experience. I fully expect this kid will be seeing many ProBowls in his future. What a find.

I agree with the other comments that the Vikings should have not lost to 3 rookie quarterbacks - that is embarrasing. I just hope that the Vikings continue to "upgrade" their defensive backfield. Smith has helped, but then it seems on the next play here it goes again down the drain.

@purplchump and @thetruthinc - You both mention 3 rookie QBs. You fail to mention that among these 3, they also beat Green Bay (twice), Chicago, the Giants, and New England. All 3 are second in their divisions and are in playoff contention. Griffin and Wilson are in the top 7 in passer rating, while Luck has Indy at 9-4 a year after having the #1 pick. Enjoy the beer and brats then try again.

Why is it ok to judge a player in the secondary for being white but another position(like quarterback) its racist to discuss skin color? When does the nonsense end? When Rush said his garbage about McNabb, he was fired and villified by the public(and rightly so), why is it ok the other way around?

So its ok to talk about white defensive backs but not black quarterbacks? Could you imagine if a white Vikings player had yelled out....wow a black quarterback!...when Tavaris Jackson walked into the room.

@thetruthinc - "@Steavis61067 - You will never run out of excuses for your losing ways, too funny!!! When you eventually sober up I hope you enjoy that slice of "Empty Trophy Case" pie that has been served up to you for the past 52 years and counting!!! LOL!!!" ..................................... Well, since you didn't (couldn't?) discount my point, I guess you agree with it. Thank you for your acknowledgement of me being correct. No need to give my post a thumbs up, your answer (or lack thereof) is good enough. Out of curiousity, you often mention trophies. How many do you have? Did you play in the NFL? LOL!

Bad play calling. FoxSports said they would shut down Adrian and they are. Try something else. He's losing ground. And so are we.
