We are not going to fight in Syria's civil war, we and other NATO allies are responding to a member nation's (Turkey) request for assistance in defense of their border from possible incursions resulting from the violence in Syria.

I find it absolutely appaling that we know the body count in the Gaza Strip and Newtown, Conn but nobody is reporting on the body count of Obama's wars.

costcutter "I find it absolutely appaling that we know the body count in the Gaza Strip and Newtown, Conn but nobody is reporting on the body count of Obama's wars" That's because, every time a drone takes out a Taliban or Al Qaeda we hear about on the 6 o'clock news. It's up to you to keep track of the total. As fare a Afghanistan is concerned that is and always be one of the two wars started by the three cowards (Rumsfled, Cheney and the village idiot)
