Remember, Kluwe jumped in the failed amendment campaign in response to Matt Birk voicing his opinion in favor of discrimination. I don't recall Kluwe saying anything prior to Birk's opinion piece being sent to many papers through conservative efforts. Kluwe offered his view to balance the Football Player opinion.

I vote Klewy gets cut and we bring in a Hamline guy who could punt better. No more shank jobs while we are on our 20. Dude- your paid to kick not pose in magazines. Where o where is Greg Coleman when you need him. Or Mitch Berger or even Randell Cunningham.

Priefer isn't the only one who is tired of Kluwe. Shut up and kick the ball.

I hope Kluwe is cut sooner than later, I tired of him long ago and his punting has been awful this season. Good riddance!

Kluwe's a good punter and I agree with him. I'm tired of Matt Birk and don't agree with Allen about baseball. I'd rather go to a TWINS game than a VIKINGS game any day of the week.

All the other players should put tape over their logos that says, "Shut up and punt".

Distractions???....for a punter??...What else does he have to think about while performing such a boring job?

Nobody semed to have a problem with the job Jim McMahon did when he was with the Chicago Bears and had uniform infractions. Of course he was a quarterback and not a punter and wasn't in a band but I suspect he may have wanted to be in one.

I don't like listening to athletes talk about politics, but I'm surprised at all the commentors who say Kluwe isn't punting well this season. He is punting just fine. This year, Kluwe has averaged 44.7 yards per punt, which is slightly more than his career 44.4 yard average. This doesn't put him in the upper eschelon of NFL punters, but it's certainly not a bad performance. Interestingly, Ray Guy - the punter who may or may not deserve the HOF - averaged 42.4 yards over his career.

Maybe Priefer should not make negative comments about his players. Kluwe has the same right as anybody to voice his opinion about any topic. Does anybody really think this affects his performance on the field?
