MAN the twins sure make it tough to be fans when you see all the other team make great moves .THE twins scrap the bottom and expect fans to show up I dont think so.

It's amazing listening to Terry Ryan talking does he really believe what he's saying? If so he shouldn't be a GM. This guy won't have under a 5 era in the AL. Remember the NL has a automatic out it's called the pitcher. If your going to spend money get a quality pitcher otherwise let pohlad keeps his money.

When the Twins got their new stadium the implied agreement with their fans was they would field a competitive team. Frankly, the Pohlads are beginning to look indistinguishable from their old contraction co-conspirator, Marlins' owner Jeffrey "I'll make my profit on the revenue sharing" Loria. The Twins were purchased by the Pohlads for 44 million and in less than thirty years that has grown to about 500 million. The fans have been very good to the Pohlads. A prospect is a prospect is a prospect, they're just cheap pie in the sky! Now, Anibal Sanchez has gone to the Cubs; and we have Kevin Correia who is not even MLB average. The Twins will be perennial losers; and as a fan, I feel ripped off.

Gocats, Couldn't agree more now there new excuse is they don't get the TV revenue that other teams get well if thats the case let us tear down the stadium give MN the money back and hit the road the product your putting on the field is pathetic.

Gocat pretty much hit the nail right on the head. As a fan I was really excited by the acquisitions of Meyers, May, and Worley. I thought it signified a new era of Twins baseball was on the horizon. I thought that TR had seen the light and was going to build his starting rotation around power. Here we are and it honestly looks like Worley is going to be the number 1 starter for this team! If they has added a Dempster or Marcum or someone to be top of the rotation guy before they signed Correia I think reactions would be a lot different around Twins territory. Instead we get Correia and promises that their is more additions for the rotation to come like BRET MYERS or JOHN LANNON! REALLY THAT'S SUPPOSED TO MAKE US FEEL BETTER? MYERS OR LANNON? Why not stand up and volunteer for contraction again because this team isn't making an honest effort to be good now.

"The Minnesota twins have filled another hole in a staff that was full of them" Can someone explain how you can fill a hole with a hole?

"The pirates, the NL's equivalent of the Royals"...which is better than being the NL equivalent of the Twins....You better quit talking DOWN to the Pirates and the Royals...Check the standings mnhockeyguy...You must have played without a helmet!

I agree sane09 Pittsburgh needs to figure out how to finish a season, and when they do...they'll be in the playoffs. Conversely the Royals need to figure out how to start a season, then they'll make some noise because they play "lights out" in August and September.
