The pull tabs will be a complete failure. Taxpayers will be left holding the bag, as usual. Only fair solution would be a $77 per ticket tax. But they wont do that...they will go after property owners and wage earners, many of who couldn't care less about football.

This whole stadium deal was a scam. Basically a transfer of public wealth to a private organization. There is still almost a year for taxpayers to realize they're being shafted and they should tell Wilf to finance his own playground. It's not like he can't afford it.

The Governor can believe anything he wants. It's not his money on the hook for this project. The best course would be for the new Legislature to repeal the stadium bill and divert the money to the budget deficit. There's nothing wrong with the Metrodome and the Vikings aren't going anywhere.

Mark is not worried because if there is a shortfall he can simply go to South Dakota and pull out some of the money his family left him and make up the difference.

There is plenty of time to reverse this legislation. It's simply wrong. Gov. Dayton, 2013 state Senators and Rep.'s, do the right thing and enjoy the benefits from the majority of voters in the next election. rybak, do us all a favor and don't run again.

Just another fiscal hoax played upon the taxpayer. Just like the legacy amendment. Just like the Gas tax amendment. When will people wake up that DFL'ers are notorious for setting up sucker ploys to take your hard earned dollars against your wishes?

Ahhh... so great to be a Packers fan! A winning team, a stadium that is paid off, and a stadium expansion paid for through a stock sale. Can't wait to go to the Humpty Dump to watch the Pack win on the eve of New Years Eve. We will even have spotted cow at our tailgate for you Minnesotans who can't buy alcohol on Sunday.

It's probably a little early to go into full panic mode. These things usually take a little time for adoption by the bars, installation and set up, and people to start using them. I wish the money were going to something else, but I respect Dayton for taking a position. I'd much rather have a leader that I don't always agree with than a guy like Zellers that refuses to take a side or make a decision.

I thought it was the GOP who is accused of giving corporations handouts. Seems like the DFL (Dayton, R.T., Mondale, et al.) in MN will be giving Ziggy World about $500+ million in taxpayer money. Many, MANY people said there was no way etabs were ever going to generate enough money for this but oh no, we didn't know what we were talking about.
