The real reason the union bosses have turned the unenlightened workers loose is that the union bosses and Democratic Party will lose a money faucet when dues become voluntary. In WI 30% of union members voted for Walker for that reason. Unions are a socialistic institution that cost the consumer and taxpayer big money and unfortunately kills employment by driving manufacturing overseas and, in a protective mode for existing union members discourage adding people so they can hog overtime for pension spiking and higher earnings.

We shall see if the President will come out against the violence and destruction caused by these union members protesting the democratic process.

This is interesting on several fronts. 1 - What a novel concept that unions will have to work to convince workers of their value proposition as opposed to just making the assumption. 2 - Could it be that members of the rank and file will take advantage of union contract provisions and not pay? Sounds like what many Americans already do and/or approve. 3 - Unquestionably, unions are needed and can provide a valuable service for its members. Conversely, the force of government should "never" be used to compel and individual to join a union. Somewhere in Civics 101, there are provisions in the Constitution for freedoms of speech, assembly, religion, etc.

Good point Neptune 1. This President who so ironically has preached for "civility" these many years is totally silent to the unproked brutality, physical violence and wanton destruction of property that has become the mainstay reaction of these cowardly crybabies. Obama's equally cowardly refusal to call out these miscreants speaks volumes regarding the integrity or rather comlete lack of integrity that has consistent been displayed by our failure in chief.
