Kevin, so Rubio is a projection over a sure thing?! Get over yourself. Rubio makes EVERYONE better and EVERYONE in the league would enjoy playing with him, probably even most of the top point guards. How many guys in the league say to themselves, "Boy, I'd sure like to play with Love someday because he'd make me better?" Zero. I wonder how many of your own teammates REALLY want to play with you. Rubio is THE best team defender at the point that I have seen, and I've been watching the game since '67. Unlike you, he does all the little things FOR THE TEAM and, again, makes everyone better. You haven't done the little things--or even rather basic things like play defense--during your NBA career, though I've finally seen you play some individual and team defense this year. Rubio comes into the league from Day One and sacrifices for the team. And you're whining because you got four years at 15 mil instead of five?! Are you for real? Answer: no, you're not; that's why I suspect that you're not particularly well liked or respected among your own teammates as well as around the league. (Your teammates, of course, can't let you know what they really think.) It appears you have an incurable case of richboyitis, because you certainly act like one. Rubio is THE cornerstone; you're expendable because you're not dependable; you strand your teammates at the defensive end of the court. In short, you're not the sure thing you think you are.
