The Vikings fullback has been leading the charge on many of Adrian Peterson's dramatic, crowd-pleasing runs this season.

Well then hike the ball directly to Peterson, add a second fullback or tightend and leave Ponder on the bench. 4 games with 100 yards or less passing --- why bother with a QB ---

Jerome Felton is having a Pro Bowl season. This is a good article, but Brian Baldinger of NFL Network did a better piece last week. He highlighted quite a few of Felton's key blocks and how he's improved our running game. The Vikes definitely need to re-sign Felton. He's been a big help this season.

You know you have botched Free Agency when the most productive addition is a fullback. Jokes aside, Felton has done an excellent job, definitely resign him!

I say this with some sarcasm but... Joe Webb and AP could be the dual threat option backfield (Tebow was able to win even a playoff game this way, and he's half the runner as Webb and probably a worse passer as Webb). If you're only going to go airborne for for 50-90 yards a game, Webb's proven he can do that every game even when he gets only a quarter or two of playing time. With Harvin out, Webb's clearly the team's 2nd most explosive offensive weapon.

The Redskins 2nd stringer in a replaement scenario had more presence than Ponder has in all the games this year. He may be good eventually, but others have done well right away. There is a window when Peterson, Allen, Greenway, and the vets will have their best years. Spielman owes them and the fans a quality QB.

It's too bad there aren't many, if any, quality QB's available in free agency next year. Given the Vikings' success this year, hopefully they won't wait around and hope Ponder eventually develops into a quality QB. They need to bring in a solid veteran somehow.

AP makes runs with or without a lot of blocking because he is so explosive laterally where he doesn't slow down. Yes Felton does his share of leading teh way but sometimes AP is pushing blockers out of his way because he is on them so fast. Ponder is a hindrance to AP because he is zero threat to a defense that si geared to stop teh run. I agree Webb should be the QB becasue he has more to offer in support of AP both running and passing. It is well known around the league that Ponder is at the bottom of the list and is no threat to a defense. The only people that don't know it are Spielman,Frazier, Musgrave and Ponder. Good grief get with the program before AP is injured again.

Consider this. Wisconsin destroyed Nebraska 70-31 and there was only one TD from a pass and the QB did not throw it. Develop a blocking scheme like that and Bethel-Thompson could play QB.
