In some rather distinct ways Russia has come a long way from the dark days of Communism and the old Uniion of Soviet Socialist Republics, what with the country eagerly embracing capitalism and the average Russian yearning for freedom. After the collpse of the USSR brought about by the writings of Mikhail Sergeyevich Gorbachev, and the ultimate formation of the Russian Federation, Russia bagen its long journey toward a freer, more inclusive society and peace with the world. Then came along Vladimir Putin, who favors the views of the old guard that the country should never have relenquished its grasp on the old ways. He stands to remind us tat while there is a new Russia, there are still those in the country who yern for the old days and cannot let go to act responsibly as a member of the world community of nations. I seriously doubt the average Russian agrees with the official Russian policy to support people like Bashar al-Assad, or Achmadinejad, or Huga Chavez. or North Korea's Kim Jung Un. It is time Putin listened to the beat of the world and let go of the past.

Putin is not 1 man. He is the leader of a very large group of old school, corrupt leftovers. We can say get rid of Putin but we really mean get rid of his support group. When u can promise to give jobs and power to your supporters, it becomes very hard to get rid of them. Even more hard when they are in positions of power.
