Okay Jerry Kill bashers now tell me why Northern Illinos would invite Coach Kill, his wife, and daughters to the Orange Bowl if he didn't have anything to do with NIU getting there. Face it, Jerry Kill is a great coach with a great track record and will turn around the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers. I am proud to call myself a supporter of Coach Kill and University of Minnesota Golden Gopher Football.

No fan base begs for a gimme harder than the fans of gopher football! I guess this levels the playing fields a bit as now neither team will have a BCS class HC on the sideline for this 35th ranked toilet bowl!

Let's invite Browbeater Brew to the Muffler Bowl game since he is responsible for the great team we have! Oh, I guess the MSU receivers coach is busy getting ready for his own bowl game... The Chili is HOT in Mississippi!!!

lol, nmb, that makes more sense than suggesting shakey had anything to do with NIU going to the Orange Bowl other than getting out of their way!

Since if the smart guys are right as they often are although not always, the Gophers will get clobbered in the Muffler Bowl by the Techies. On the other hand, they will get an extra 15-practices that should benefit their younger players next year. Of course, since every team with a pulse receives a bowl invitation and the related 15 extra practices, it only means that the Gophers will be able to keep pace with everyone else who also had the extra 15 practices, nothing more and nothing less.

They could receive 1500 extra practices and they wouldn't gain ground on anyone....except maybe mighty UNLV.....
