Thanks Amelia, complete concise story, and we can now go to bed. One thing I thought Tubby was older than 33. Just kidding!

This Gopher team May be ranked 14th, but after watching that performance it seems again they are overrated! The success to beating the gophers again will be a match up zone and turning the game ugly! Again I didn't see much for in game adjustments and if this wasn't such a poor southern cal team this would have been a loss! I need to see much more improvement, especially in guard play, otherwise this will be a middle of the pack finish and a fringe NCAA tournament team!

@wolves1: Bitter much? Traveling 5 hours, playing @ 9:30 at night, never losing the lead. I think they did just fine. You need to get over yourself.

Wow - The number 141 team in the nation took Smith to school on the big man game, and the Gophers almost didn't get out with a win... The major weakness in the gophers was again shown, and it is as it has been for the past five years - Smith's big man game, or rather, lack thereof. No, not a lack of talent in the players, but in Smith's 1999 use and strategy with his two bigs... It's 2012 with quick 7 footers AND quick 6'9 players, not 1999 with slow 7 footers and quick 6'9 players. The Big Ten coaches with 6-11 and up players are going to cream Smith inside on the mismatches... Does anyone - besides Smith - really think that Mbwake and Williams are going to even slow down Zeller? Or any other 6-11 and up player in the Big Ten or the dance today - and not have shots raining in by the other players, or not have one of them foul out in by the middle of the second half?.. Hey - even middlin coaches in 2012 WANT two up on their big man so they can rain in shots from the gaps the defense has to leave or burn the legs of the two forwards chasing gaps (as they now teach bigs to do) ... Smith lost a golden opportunity tonight to get Eliason and maybe Walker some game time against their big-man equals so MN has experience handling the bigs, and instead wasted the time on having the shorter forwards do what is called the "no-win defense". I have no idea what he was thinking, but it was as poorly coached a big-man game as we have seen in some time. A number 141 team owned the inside - wow.

This win should not be taken for granted. Couldn't be more pleased about this season so far; the depth and unselfishness are winning us games we lost last year. Coleman, so glad to see your strong play; keep it going!

Geez..they got a win at USC. They led most of the way. I am just a fan, but why do people get mad at winning at USC? Coaches get paid to do their job, and we complain when they don't. Right now..the Gophers look good to me. They might not win a championship, but I do like watching them play, not to complain.

The game wasn't pretty, and their big guy got great position down low way too easy, and the offense against a zone is not where it needs to be, but with all that the game was never in doubt. This team has things to work on but their defense always show up. They are winning without playing their best basketball. Isn't that what good teams do? If this team continues to work on their weaknesses, look out!
