"That man sat at my house, in my kitchen, at my breakfast table and told me he was a Ronald Reagan Republican." n Reagan was a union president who took his union out on strike. Does anyone seriously think he could have made it through this year's GOP primaries? In short, the GOP of 2012 is a far cry from the Goldwater and Reagan conservatives.

If GOP doesn't unload the rest of the tea baggers in 2014 they will have an uphill battle.

The Republicans sure can't stand moderate thinkers. It seems that even talking to someone who isn't a Republican is a bad thing...

"That man sat at my house, in my kitchen, at my breakfast table and told me he was a Ronald Reagan Republican. OK, I'm putting my boots on, because guess what? You lied to me." No, he told the truth. The lie is that Reagan would be a Republican today. He might like to be, on some level, but the GOP would send Reagan packing not unlike they did to John Huntsman, another voice of reason from the middle right. Democrats have staked out the middle left and the GOP has handed them the middle right.

My predictions for 2014 governors: Michigan, Florida, and Wisconsin will have new Democratic governors. Dayton is a lock!
