"It takes time to work out the kinks," Wootan said. "This should show Congress that they don't need to interfere legislatively." -- Wow. Talk about arrogance. Congress has OVERSIGHT over the government. That's how it works in a representative republic. Except when it comes to budgeting.
There is a huge flaw in the logic to limit large drinks in NY and shool lunch calories. An appetite won't be denied. Smaller lunch or drink means a larger snack / meal later. You always hear "cut out one X and you save XX calories and will loose X pounds per year." However human nature soon catches up with restraint at noon.
USDA to ALLOW?
Obama government. Ain't it neat?
You're right Hewon, lets just eliminate the USDA. Clean food is so overrated.
Folks at the USDA are obviously not aware that allowing "meat", leads to meat production, which leads to methane gas, which leads to global warming. And, meat goes "against the grain" in Michelle Obama's lunchroom takeover, which, well, makes meat producers racists.
So to combat the childhood obesity problem they are providing more food because kids aren't getting enough to eat?
We still pack our kids lunch.
I wouldn't trust the USDA at all knowing that the heads of that department were once corporate food employees from GMO Monsanto and the horrendous torturous Cattle industry..
Jeez, mom and dad. Try practicing personal responsibility for your own kids for a change. Pack a home lunch for them.
Had former President Bush been in office, the headline would have read something similar to, "Bush School Lunch Program Fails".
