Here's a start boys and girls: When you make a promise to defeat the stadium next time, stay with that promise. I'm a GOP defector because of this issue. Don't worry, I'm already working to defeat Dayton is 2014. But you better nominate someone who stands for something. If not, it will not matter a bit.

"Minnesota Republicans are admitting to a 2012 "thumping" in an election in which they say they lost a messaging battle with Democrats."

Messaging? They ran on jobs, jobs, jobs in 2010 and once elected pivoted to radical social engineering and rigging elections by disenfranchising voters. I don't think it was a messaging problem, it was a message problem.

Oh, I disagree that this was a "messaging" problem. The republicans definitely got their message out and that is why most democrats won. I am an independent, and all I saw in the republican party for the last two years was turmoil, unethical behavior, and fiscal irresponsibility. Otherwise, they did just fine.

Both parties could strengthen their positions by pledging to deliver what the citizens want instead of what the party wants. Time to start working for the people that elect you even if you think you know better. Give the people what they want!
