Two down, three to go. UMKC was clearly overmatched right from the tip last night. Good outing for most everyone. It's nice to see the Gophers destroying teams that they should be beating handily. While not pure cupcakes (RPI 200+), Denver and UMKC were definitely teams that the Gophers should be beating by at least 15-20 points. As fun as Banham is to watch, I'd honestly like to see less of her during games like this because a) other players could use the minutes (ie. Cotton, even Thompson), b) Borton should be trying to keep her fresh and healthy for the B1G season, and c) she's clearly the best player on the court and one begins to feel a little sorry for the other team while she is running all over them (its a little like watching an older sibling beat up on a younger one). I'd say give Banham the hook once she gets to 20 to give other players a chance for some minutes, but what do I know. Good game overall, though. I hope Riche and Kellogg can run up some good numbers and gain some confidence in the remaining games to carry this momentum into the B1G season. Go Gophers!
