Talk about a serious case of denial... If McCutcheon really thinks we match up well with Penn State, he either knows nothing about volleyball or he just hasn't been paying attention. A good season, but this is the end of the road.

Admittedly it will be tough to pull out a win against Penn St but what is he supposed to say? If your coach doesn't even believe that you can win why would the players?

I agree, jhsjobergiii. This is probably a little bit of motivation/salesmanship for his players. I don't see much of a chance against Penn State, but he's got to stay positive (at least publicly). I'm not sure I understand the committee's reasoning behind putting 3 of the 7 B1G teams in the same region, though. Kind of a bad draw for the Gophers - I could see them making the Final Four in any other region.

There were signs in the last PSU match that MN could compete with PSU. If MN can have success on their serve they will have a good chance to pull out the win. It will take their best match of the season but it can be done!

Great job ladies, you can do it. Beat psu. Go to the NCAA title, bring it back to Minnesota. Nice work coach.
