Thank you Michelle Bachmann for making this a reality! We love you here in Stillwater!

Would have been much cheaper just to weld it in the down position. All that work so the paddleboats can give their customers a thrill of going under the bridge.

My guess is that they will have it closed just before Christmas day for an another month to replace light bulbs with those curly ones that save energy. Meanwhile, 1000s of gaallons of gas will be watsed driving the detour routes.

I kinda liked it when it was closed. Downtown Stillwater wasn't so congested and made it more fun for folks to enjoy it, and other than that, nothing really missed a beat. Kinda makes you think that $700 million bridge isn't too necessary, eh?

muskybutt is a perfect example of a non-thinking Bachmann fan. What is "this" exactly? She made "this" a reality? What, did she build the Stillwater lift bridge? I didn't know she was that old, must be all of the botox. Botoxman of course is trying to take credit for the new bridge that is planned. But how does that work with someone that is so against all "government pork"? Maybe she was against it before she was for it? Botoxman is a national embarassment, enabled by her blind followers year after year. She is 100% political and accomplishes literally nothing. If Betty McCollum hadn't championed the new bridge, there still would not be a deal for one.
