Why did the story omit the facts (reported by the Labor Dept) that 350,000 people dropped out of labor force (no longer counted as unemployed) and that the September and October employment numbers were revised down? @sgjsdad, this isn't a right-wing partisan denial. It's the data from the Labor Dept.

350,000 dropped out of the labor force? Might be people having children and not working for a short period of time, might be people who have decided to stop looking for work, might be seniors retiring, might be couples who decide their fortunes have improved enough that one of them can stay home to care for their children, might be people going back to school to improve their skills, and/or might be people dying.

The US has over 200,000 legal immigrants comming in every month, workers retiring, and workers passing away and low increases in this 146,000 range over 50 states and 330 million plus citizens is being portrayed as a good thing. And the number receiving government welfare increases to record highs.

Absolutely amazing how one one-one hundreth of a percent worth of new jobs drops the the unemployment rate by one-tenth of a percent. Those must be fantastic jobs to be worth ten times their numbers in staistical gold. I guess it is just that new math the teach in the government schools. Bill G.

Let's hear all of the naysayers bash this one. --------- Why bash it? I was equally pleased when Bush created 204,000 jobs in November of 2006. Can you say the same?
