Why is our government so concerned about other countries when they can not effectively run their own?

lazer29: you beat me to the punch. I agree... maybe the headline is just a little too bold. We can "want" something, but why does the USA think that because we want it, another country should do it? I don't like Assad, but that is not the point. It is none of our business.
