your article is not clear. after team A scores, who gets the ball?? "that" team gets the ball and if "that" team does not make 15 yards then "that " team punts? when does the 10 yards for first down happen? not clear at all. You wrote, "the ball would be placed at the scoring team's 30 yard line. That team would have the option of trying to run an offensive play -- gaining 15 yards or more would give them a first down and allow them to keep the ball, while anything less would give the ball to the other team -- or punting the ball away."
