Running back believed in himself, but most doubted his bold early-season statements.

It also seems that Peterson is "unfazed" by the fact that he will never win a Super title as a viking. If he stays with the vikings his entire career he will join the ranks of O.J. Simpson and Barry Sanders as the best running back of his time but no Super Bowl / World Championship ring. What a complete waste of talent, All those rushing stats mean nothing without a Super Bowl ring!!!

@prplchump you couldn't be more wrong. Adrian's stats will mean something they will mean he was one of the most prolific running backs in the history of the sport at the highest level ring or no ring. More importantly though it will show of a man and his dedication to his trade, his effort, and his team regardless of how they fare in the win loss column. He goes out every game with the intent of winning and helping his teammates and the franchise he plays for to win without any selfless motivation. People need to recognize greatness beyond the championship. They're have been many players of less talent that have one the big one without the same impact. Some people win the 1 game and some don't but in Adrian's case he will never be thought of as less than great #SkolVikings #SkolAdrian

bensevilla - Only those without a title believe that not having a title isn't important. At the end of the day every professional sports player is measured by titles they have or have not won when their playing days are over. Not having a title will not keep Peterson out of the Hall of Fame but if he retires with the vikings the pundits will mention first that it is a shame and waste of talent that he was never able to win a Super Bowl ring. Peterson can put up all the useless stats he wants but it means nothing when you have nothing to show for it but a four fumble performance in New Orleans during the one and only NFC Championship game he will ever play in during his career with the vikings. If Peterson is fooloish enough to stay with the vikings his entire career he will never get to the Super Bowl and that cannot be disputed.

The best Peterson can ever hope for if he chooses to finish his career with the vikings is a spot in the the viking's "Ring of Honor". That way he can join ALL those other viking players that began and ended their career with this franchise and have NO Super Bowl / World Championship ring to speak of. What a shame!!!

I love AP also. I want him to stay and want Spielman to provide talent around him. But if Spielman is not able to add the right pieces, I would not blame AP if he wanted to leave to go to a SuperBowl team. Pretty clear the writing is on the wall with Ponder as your QB.

Well everyone knows that those who predict never win a super bowl have special powers and can't be wrong, after all everyone knew the Saints would one day win one didn't they. Ponder has struggled, but remember has also done well at times, jury is still out, he may flop totally or he may finally get it. If the Ravens can win a title with Trent Dilfer at QB the Vikings can win with Ponder, and have shown this year that they are moving in the right direction, but for some reason it is a favorite hobby of some so called fans to always say why things are worse when they really are not. A year ago this team was the bottom, they can still finish with a winning record it is NOT out of the question but even if not, they got better, not worse and not the same.

Peterson is showing all of the classic signs of an athlete abusing performance enhancing drugs. He is lucky that the NFL is not interested in a quality testing program.

AD didn't have his ACL repaired last year, he had it removed because it was slowing him down.

ProcureDec. 7, 1210:26 AM

@hitch22 - Or he's worked harder in one day than you have in your entire life.

hitch22Dec. 7, 1211:46 AM

Procure, I think fans of Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa said the exact same thing to defend those guys during the accusation phase.
