Publicity stunt? Smoke and mirrors? Story says its a piddling amount. A drop in the bucket. R they building a new plant? Restarting a former plant that was shut down when sales shifted to Taiwan and the American workers got fired?

ERwerner, no he is not kidding you. Look at what happened already when Google tried to produce their Nexus Q in the US earlier this year. It never even made it to mass production before Google canned it. The state of the US education system is also abysmal compared to the rest of the world. Our math and science skills are one of the worst in the developed nations. Why do you think we even have oil companies runnings ads trying to get kids interested in math and science?

@EWerner - While I do think it doesn't take a high level of education to assemble a computer I can imagine that is a better way of saying cheaper and harder working. I don't think you can deny that U.S. workers have the lack of skills required to fill certain high skill manufacturing jobs. These are not the days of GM assembly line work. There are an estimated 600,000 unfilled, skilled manufacturing jobs. Many of which require secondary education. Many of these jobs require programming of a computer and watching the machine do the work.
