The assistant coaches know what they want to do anyway against Stanford. Barry will motivate these players. Good luck to Bielema trying to recruit in the SEC. Let's have a home and home against Arkansas starting next year.

The gimmick to bring back Barry for one game is a sure sign of desperation. I guess after embarrassing itself and the Big Ten the last two years WI has to try something to generate some buzz for a game that most college football fans aren't keen on watching.

Yeah, there couldn't possibly be any interest in watching a Badger team that took the wraps off its newest star running back in giving Nebraska a bigger rushing beat down than it ever suffered against the likes of Texas, Oklahoma and Texas A&M in the Big 12. This is an offense made for Barry Alvarez. (How them Gophers been doing since the NFL came to town?)

Snoebird - Truth hurts. The 6th best team in the Big Ten, which is also unranked, and has 5 losses vs. the 2nd best team in the Pac-12, isn't a match made in heaven. Ask any college football fan, not from WI, and they'd tell you that this game isn't high on their list of games to watch on Jan. 1st. Barry on the sidelines is a nice sideshow but won't help WI win this game.

... and yet Vikings1 will be GLUED to that game. I mean, it's that or the Meinecke Car Care and Tire Changing Service While You Wait Bowl from Somewhere in Texas.

Snoebird - When did the NFL come to Minneapolis?

If I were a Gopher fan, I'd be watching the Rose Bowl out of nostalgia for the running game they used to have under Glen Mason. As for the Badgers' record, they're 1-0 in the postseason and as an underdog in the postseason. They'll also have another QB available for their next game.
